LOS ANGELES — If you've spent the last few days living under a rock, perhaps you haven't already heard that MTV is debuting a brand-new TV show called "Spoilers" this Friday at 7:30 p.m., or that the recent taping of the show brought together "Twilight" stars with several minutes of exclusive footage and hundreds of shrieking fans.
Among the throng of dazzled Twilighters was the one and only NoMoreMarbles (a.k.a. Bailey Gauthier), the immensely popular vlogger whose "Twilight" diaries have developed a huge following on YouTube and other Web sites. After she flew all the way down from Ontario, Canada, for the evening, we gave Bailey permission to be the only non-MTV reporter allowed to shoot video inside the show.
She's filed her footage and diary to give us a peek at what it was like to be a "Twilight" fan with a golden ticket for the unforgettable show.
4:29 p.m.: I start on my way to the event, forgoing coffee due to my girlie-time lateness.
4:38 p.m.: I'm still in a cab, despite my hotel being on the same street as (and barely two miles from) the theater. I despise L.A. traffic.
4:45 p.m.: I find the line for the MTV "Spoilers" show and hop in — can't see the beginning from where I stand.
4:50 p.m.: I see my first "Team Edward" T-shirt, only to be followed up by so many more.
4:52 p.m.: I receive my MTV "Spoilers" pass! I am now super-stoked.
4:59 p.m.: Since I have a camera to shoot footage, I get the crowd to start screaming and cheering to show their excitement; security tells me to never do that again. Yes, "Twilight" fans are quite loud.
5:01 p.m.: It's someone's birthday in the line! Everyone starts singing for her. Hope security doesn't mind.
5:05 p.m.: Some "Twilight" parents are spotted; I head over to promptly chat them up.
5:10 p.m.: I proceed to sweat my Canadian butt off while interviewing people in the line. I need to either get in better shape, or learn proper sleeping habits. Maybe I should have grabbed that coffee after all!
5:15 p.m.: The people at the end of the line start getting their passes — everyone seems anxious to see the show.
5:35 p.m.: Frantic "Twilight" fans in a car pull up alongside the line and ask for directions to parking.
5:41 p.m.: I see my first "Team Jacob" T-shirt — it's the only one I'll spot all night.
6:10 p.m.: It appears that the line has reached full capacity.
6:15 p.m.: I get my journal autographed by an aspiring actress who wants to play the role of Jane in the possible "Twilight" sequels.
6:32 p.m.: Sitting on a planter while waiting in line, I am attacked by a spider, causing me to scream like a little girl.
6:40 p.m.: As the crowd is being ushered across the street to the theater, excitement is building. I observe hundreds of "Twilight" fans vs. L.A. traffic — the fans win.
7:15 p.m.: As the Fine Arts Theatre fills up, I happily snag a seat in the second row.
7:25 p.m.: A "fight" between the one Team Jacob person in attendance and a loyal Team Edward fangirl breaks out somewhere behind me.
7:26 p.m.: The sweet smell of free popcorn and burning anticipation fills the air. You can cut the tension with a knife.
7:36 p.m.: The crew tells the crowd that stars will be here soon.
7:37 p.m.: As an MTV cameraman begins filming us all, the crowd starts to freak out — at least seven different people begin to cry "OMG!" at the top of their lungs.
7:45 p.m.: The crowd begins frantically looking around the theater in excitement, mistaking every single MTV crew member for a "Twilight" star — which follows in much shrieking.
7:50 p.m.: Deafening screams begin as fans get a peek at director Catherine Hardwicke through the curtains on the side of the stage.
7:51 p.m.: "Robert! Robert!" chanting commences while one fan cries out for Kristen Stewart. MTV's Tim Kash takes the stage — he has a hot belt.
7:53 p.m.: As the "Twilight" cast makes their entrance, the crowd goes insane; I am now deaf.
7:55 p.m.: After multiple attempts at trying to introduce the clip, Robert Pattinson finally tells the audience, "Oh, shut up!"
7:57 p.m.: Finally introduced, the clips begin and the lights go down, while the fans continue to scream and make references to Kristen's fierceness. The front row jumps up to shake hands with the cast as they leave the stage — and in some cases get hugs.
7:58 p.m.: Edward Cullen appears onscreen; the fans flip.
8:15 p.m.: As the Q&A begins with Catherine and the stars, the line of fans hoping to ask questions stretches to the back of the theater — someone cries for the "Twilight" stars to remove their clothes.
8:16 p.m.: Taylor Lautner blows a kiss to a fan who calls out.
8:17 p.m.: A fan shouts out that she loves Ashley Greene's purse. I concur.
8:20 p.m.: The conversation between stars and fans turns PG-13, and cold showers are suggested. Catherine asked the cast, "What gets you going?" but catches herself after the fact. The fans lose it.
8:21 p.m.: When the cast states that the weather was the worst part of filming, the two Canadians in the room (myself included) proceed to laugh.
8:23 p.m.: Fans scream that they want Ashley to be their BFF — who doesn't, with a purse like that?
8:24 p.m.: The crowd freaks as Kellan Lutz fakes taking off his shirt.
8:25 p.m.: The crowd gives Catherine a standing ovation; Peter Facinelli and Edi Gathegi take her place to finish the Q&A.
8:26 p.m.: Kellan jokingly hits on Peter, and the crowd once again goes nuts. He is quite the people person.
8:27 p.m.: Johnny Depp suggested for a Volturi member; I totally agree.
8:32 p.m.: "Twilight" dude (Twi-Guy) asks a question, and the crowd much enjoys it.
8:35 p.m.: Jackson Rathbone and Ashley are begged into public displays of affection, to which they oblige. It is cute.
8:40 p.m.: Note to self: Kellan Lutz likes it when you buy hot dogs for him.
8:45 p.m.: As things wrap up, the cast begins to leave the stage to proclamations of love and devotion.
9 p.m.: After much hugging, screaming and autograph-signing, the "Twilight" stars are gone. I watch as Q&A host Larry Carroll is inducted into Twilighters.org in an impromptu ceremony in the lobby.
9:15 p.m.: Pizza and bed have become a necessity — I feel extremely old during the ride home, seeing as it is barely 9 p.m. However, I continue to remind myself that where I come from it is actually midnight, making me feel only slightly less uncool. Then again, when I wake up tomorrow morning, I'll be one day closer to the November 21 "Twilight" release!
