LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) -
CBS has ordered four
additional primetime "Price Is Right" specials and is moving
the show to a more competitive time period. The network has
also slated the return of legal drama "Shark."
Friday night's "Price Is Right Million Dollar Spectacular,"
hosted by Drew Carey, has won its 8 p.m. slot for each of its
quartet of recent specials.
CBS has ordered four more episodes to run on Wednesdays at
8 p.m. during the May sweep. The show will return April 30.
The new "Price" time period is stocked with unscripted
programming, with ABC's "Wife Swap," Fox's "Moment of Truth"
and NBC's "Deal or No Deal" currently airing in the hour.
CBS also announced Monday a return date and new time period
for "Shark."
The legal drama starring James Woods returns April 29 with
four original episodes to wrap up the second season. CBS is
also shifting the show from Sunday nights to Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
"Shark" is on the bubble for renewal next season and the
network will likely watch its return performance closely to
help make a decision on whether to bring back the show.
