Game Sentenced To 60 Days In Prison On Felony Gun Charge: Report

Rapper allegedly pulled a firearm in a school zone last year.

Game has been sentenced to 60 days in a Los Angeles prison after pleading no contest on Monday (February 11) to felony gun charges stemming from a February 2007 incident in which the rapper allegedly pulled a firearm in a school zone, according to TMZ.
After Game (born Jayceon Taylor) entered his no-contest plea, a Los Angeles County judge immediately sentenced him to 60 days in prison, TMZ reports. The rapper also was sentenced to three years of probation and 150 hours of community service.
Game was arrested in May, three months after the incident took place, during a pickup-basketball game at a park in L.A. According to reports, the rapper was suspected of threatening a person with a gun. In June, he pleaded not guilty to three felony counts: making a criminal threat, possession of a firearm in a school zone and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer.
In a recent interview with Monsta magazine, Game admitted he would be pleading no contest in the case. The rapper also said he felt he was being targeted because of his celebrity.
"The crazy part about this is that I've had guns before in my life," Game told the mag. "But this time, I didn't have a gun. And because one person said I had a gun and coaxed his homies into saying that I had a gun, I'm in a predicament where I'm asking, 'Do I want to spend another million dollars to fight this trial, so who knows what jury's gonna come in and say I'm guilty? Or do I want to save my money, go sit down for four months and accept this felony they're trying to give me for no
reason?' "
Calls placed to Game's management were not returned as of press time.
